Steps to Patch 12cR2 Grid and database ~ Blog for oracle RAC Goldengate Dataguard ASM database

Hello Friends,

In this post we will look at database and Grid patching

Download the patch from oracle metalink. from patches and update section

unzip the patch p28553832_12201190115OCWJAN2019RU_Linux-x86-64

But be informed to take a zip backup of oracle home and grid home before starting the patching

No need to stop the database or Grid home :

Before applying the patch first analyze the patch :
